Hosteur and its impact on the environment

Since its creation in 2003 HOSTEUR has been a company aware of its environmental impact and therefore of its responsibilities towards the planet and its fellow citizens.

We believe that change always begins with oneself. This is why we are making efforts to limit our environmental impact. Here are some of the concrete measures adopted by our company.

50% of the energy in our data centers comes from renewable resources

Most of the time our employees work from home and therefore do not use polluting means of transport

70% of our business trips are made by train / coach / metro

All our lighting is LED type and thus consume 70% less than traditional lighting

All our office supplies are made from recycled materials

100% of our waste is sorted sent to recycling center or donated to associations

All our servers have been virtual since 2007

Hosteur encourages the purchase of electric bikes by its employees by reimbursing 50% of their price

100% green energy target

Since January 1 2017 Hosteur has been using 100% renewable energy for its Lausanne Datacenter

Our goal is to gradually shift to the exclusive use of green energy across all of our sites.

HOSTEUR is also a sponsor of various foundations and regularly finances ecological projects with a positive impact on the environment!
